Brand review of scripts

Send a script to the brand on a private link: they read it, comment, ask for changes or approve it without an account. Decide on each change, apply it with Poppy and share the new version on the same link.

draft

Most brands want to see the script before you film. Instead of pasting it into an email and collecting feedback across replies, send the brand a private review link. They read the script, comment on any part of it, ask for changes or approve it, on their phone or computer, with no account.

Send a script for review

  1. Write the script for a deliverable first (see Deal brief and scripts).
  2. On the deliverable's row menu choose Send for brand review. You can also start from the deal's Review tab, or from a script on the Brief tab.
  3. Pick the scripts, the brand contact, and how to send it:
    • Email goes from your connected mailbox, like any outreach. If your workspace saves emails as drafts (the default), the email waits in your mailbox's drafts: open it there and send it. The link in the draft works as is.
    • Copy link gives you the link to send however you talk to the brand.
  4. Choose how long the link works (7, 30 or 90 days) and whether the brand also sees the brief.

The link is shown only once. You can turn it off any time from the Review tab; a turned-off or expired link shows "This review link is not available".

Sending scripts to the brand is deliverable work: without a contract signed by both parties you're asked to confirm continuing without one, and that goes into the deal's History.

What the brand sees

  • The script as you shared it: the hook, each beat (what is said, shown on screen and filmed), the call to action, the caption and hashtags, and the paid-partnership disclosure.
  • Earlier versions, so they can compare.
  • The brief, if you chose to show it, and the conversation.

They never see your notes, other hooks you didn't pick, your tracked links, the deal's money or anything else on your workspace.

To check it yourself, open the deal's Review tab and choose Preview as brand on a review link's row menu: you see the page exactly as that contact does, with comments and approvals turned off, and the link's "not opened yet" status doesn't change.

Comments, changes and approval

The brand can leave a comment, request a change on the whole script or one part of it (the hook, a beat, the caption…), or approve the current version. You get a notification, and the deal's Timeline shows it ("Lumi asked for changes", "Lumi approved the script").

In the Review tab, for each requested change:

  • Apply with Poppy writes the change into the script and shares the new version on the same link. It uses 1 AI credit (none when your workspace uses its own AI key). If the change can't be applied cleanly, nothing is saved and you can edit it yourself.
  • I'll edit it marks it accepted. Edit the script in AI Content, then choose Share version N in the Review tab: the brand sees the new version and your accepted changes are marked done.
  • Decline tells the brand you won't make it, with an optional note.

You can also reply to the brand from the Review tab.

When the brand approves, the deliverable shows Script approved by the brand. If you change the script and share a new version afterwards, the brand is asked to approve again.

Agents

An agent can read where the review stands and, when you ask it, prepare a review email for the brand. The email can be for the scripts, or for the content itself (the video or photo you added to a deliverable, stored in Pointerly). The approval card shows each deliverable, its file name and the version. That always needs your approval, the email is saved as a draft, and it's refused until the contract is signed by both parties. Comments and change requests are always yours to decide.

Privacy and security

  • Each link is random and personal to the contact you sent it to. Pointerly stores only a scrambled form of it, so it can't be recovered from our database.
  • Links expire, and you can turn them off at any time.
  • The page isn't indexed by search engines, and the link isn't passed on to other sites.
  • The brand page has a Join Pointerly as a brand button; if they sign up, we know which review they came from without keeping the link.
