Notification preferences

Choose email, push, and in-app delivery for each notification type.

draft

Settings → Notifications lets you control how each alert type reaches you. For every type you can toggle Email, Push, and In-app (when that channel is supported). Changes stay in a draft until you click Save Preferences.

This page is about delivery preferences. To read, filter, and mark alerts as read, use the Notifications inbox at Dashboard → Notifications.

What you'll do

  • Review each notification type and its available channels
  • Enable or disable Email / Push / In-app per type
  • Save preferences and confirm delivery matches what you expect

Before you start

  • Signed in to the account that should receive the alerts (preferences are per user)
  • Permission to view Settings → Notifications (notifications module)
  • Working email on the account if you enable Email channels
  • Browser / device push permission if you enable Push (where the product supports it)

Channels

ChannelMeaning
EmailMessage to your account email (some flows skip a generic email when a dedicated one already went out)
PushPush notification when the client supports it
In-appAppears in the dashboard notifications inbox / bell

Saving also derives global email_enabled / push_enabled flags from whether any type still has that channel on.

Weekly usage summaryOn-demand usage, cost, vs last cycleEmail only

*Defaults apply until you customize. Weekly usage summary intentionally supports Email only (no in-app digest surface).

The inbox type filter may still list historical types such as Report sync. New operational report alerts arrive as Routine alerts; prefer that preference for ongoing control.

Step-by-step

Step 1 — Open notification preferences

  1. Go to Dashboard → Settings → Notifications.
  2. Optionally click View all notifications to open the inbox in another tab.

Step 2 — Adjust channels per type

  1. For each type, read the short description under the title.
  2. Toggle Email, Push, and/or In-app as needed.
  3. For Weekly usage summary, only the Email switch appears — that is expected.
  4. Leave critical types (System, Team activity, Routine alerts) on at least one reliable channel.

Step 3 — Save and verify

  1. Click Save Preferences (bottom of the page).
  2. Wait for the save to finish (spinner on the button while pending).
  3. Trigger a low-risk event or wait for the next real alert and confirm it arrives on the channels you enabled.
  4. Open Dashboard → Notifications to confirm in-app items appear when In-app is on.

Tips

  • Turn Push on for time-sensitive types (deals, system) and keep quieter types in-app only.
  • Keep Weekly usage summary on Email if you track AI / on-demand spend.
  • Disabling Email for a type does not delete past inbox items — it only stops future delivery on that channel.
  • Dedicated emails (for example some invitations or calendar messages) may intentionally skip the generic notification email to avoid duplicates.
