Delegated WorkspaceFollow a request

Help Center/Delegated Workspace

Follow a request

Use the board, table, and timeline, answer the team, accept or send work back, and filter or sprint the queue.

draft

After you send a request, the card is the place you and the Pointerly team share the plan, the thread, and the deliverables. Open it from the board, the table, the timeline, a notification, or a link with ?r= on /dashboard/delegated.

Layouts

LayoutWhat it is good for
BoardColumns by status. This is the default
TableEvery status in one list, including cancelled, with topic, status, priority, assignee, sprint, due date, plan, and updated
TimelineThe same requests on a time scale

The choice is remembered for you. A shared link with ?view=table or ?view=timeline wins over that memory. ?view=list still opens the table.

View options on the filter row show or hide fields. Board cards can show the plan, topic, priority, due date, sprint, assignee, and counts.

Statuses you see

The column name is the customer wording. Buttons at the top of the plan (Request actions) are the moves you are allowed to make. Cancel is the quiet red control. Its name for assistive tech is Cancel request.

You are inYou can
SubmittedStart, Mark as done, Cancel
In progressMove to Submitted, Mark as done, Cancel
Needs your inputMark as answered, Mark as done, Cancel
Ready for reviewAccept or Request changes
DoneReopen (back to In progress)
CancelledResubmit (back to Submitted)

You cannot put a request in Needs your input or Ready for review yourself. Those are the team’s handoffs. A success toast reads Moved to plus the new column name.

Accept closes the review as Done. Request changes sends it back to In progress. If Auto-accept reviews is on, a request left in review with no answer moves to Done after the number of days you set (1 to 30). You are notified. Off means it waits for you.

The team’s own labels differ (New, Waiting on customer, In review). You always see the customer names above.

The thread and the plan

The conversation holds public replies. Pointerly AI messages appear as their own bubbles. Operators can also leave an Internal note, which is not the customer reply.

The plan is the task list, grouped by topic. A step can be done by the team, by Poppy, or by you when Run Poppy's steps yourself is on. Deliverables (links, tags, posts, pages, and the rest) attach to the request and can be opened from the card. A Post step saves into AI Content and offers Open post. Publishing that post is still your click. See Posts and copy.

A step such as Send an email or Create a calendar event uses a mailbox or calendar you already connected. Attach the thread or event with /email or /event. The step runs only after the plan is approved, and a scheduled send waits for its time. See Poppy with your inbox and calendar.

If one request has to wait for another, the panel says Starts after that card’s title.

Find a request

The filter box is a search line. Qualifiers narrow the board. Free text matches the title, the description, or an exact public id.

Combine terms. When nothing matches, the board says No requests match and offers Clear filters. The status line keeps the unfiltered counts so a narrow filter does not look like an empty workspace.

Sprints

The sprint control sits at the start of the filter row. current is the active sprint. none is the backlog.

New sprint (dialog title New sprint, button Create sprint) is available to the Pointerly team and to workspace owners and admins. Other members can filter by sprint. Closing a sprint is the same people, from the sprint menu.

Notifications

Request updates use the Delegated Workspace notification type, event Request updates: replies, status changes, and delivered work.

  • Push and in-app follow Settings → Notifications. Defaults are push and in-app on
  • Replies on your requests always arrive by email. That mail is the conversation, so the Email switch on this type does not turn it off
  • The person who sent the request is always included. Notify owners and admins (on by default) also tells owners and admins when a task is done or the status changes

Opening the notification lands on /dashboard/delegated. A link to one request uses its public id.
