Help Center/Delegated Workspace
Send a request
Describe what you need, attach files and workspace context, or plan it with Poppy first, then send the card to the Pointerly team.
A request is the brief. You write it the way you would message a teammate. The card lands in Submitted. Pointerly AI then builds a task list from what you wrote. Creating a request, structuring it, and planning on the thread do not use AI credits.
Customers file requests. The Pointerly team works them, so the composer is not shown to operators.
Where you'll find it
| Place | How it opens |
|---|---|
| Empty Delegated view | The hero composer under What should Pointerly do for you? |
| Board with requests | The pill at the bottom, + Add request on Submitted, or the ⌘K / Ctrl K and / shortcuts |
| Table | The same + Add request rule: customers only, into Submitted |
The field placeholder is Tell Pointerly what you need…. Send with the button (Send request) or ⌘ Enter / Ctrl Enter.
Before you start
- Delegated is active and you can create requests (Editor and above)
- You are in the right workspace
- Anything the team should look at is either in the message or attached: a product URL, a file, or a workspace item
You can send up to 30 requests per hour. A title is taken from the message and must be at least 3 characters. The description can be up to 20,000 characters. A message on an existing thread can be up to 10,000 characters.
Steps
1. Write the outcome
Say what “done” looks like. Product links in the text are picked up as references (up to 20). You do not have to pick a topic: Auto topic means Pointerly chooses one from the plan. Topics you can set yourself:
| Topic | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Links | Tracked links and routing |
| Affiliate tags | Tracking ids |
| Content | Posts and copy |
| Reports | Marketplace and traffic reports |
| Bio page | Link-in-bio pages |
| Automations | Workflows and DM rules |
| Analytics | Performance questions |
| Collaborations | Brand CRM work (needs that area) |
| Other | Anything else the team handles by hand |
2. Add files, context, urgency, or a due date
Open + (Files, context and options).
Attach files accepts images, PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CSV, JSON, or text up to 25 MB, and videos (MP4, MOV, WebM) up to 500 MB. Videos are kept 30 days. Up to 5 files at a time. For anything larger, paste a Google Drive, Dropbox, or YouTube link in the message.
Add context inserts a / command so you can pick something that already exists:
| Menu | Command | What you attach |
|---|---|---|
| Links | /links | A tracked link |
| Deals | /deals | A live deal from the catalog |
| Bio pages | /bio | One of your link-in-bio pages |
| DM automations | /automations | A comment-to-DM rule |
| Posts | /posts | A post from Content Studio |
| AI Content | /scripts | A saved video script or post |
| Affiliate tags | /tags | A tracking id |
| Social posts | /social | A post on your Instagram or Facebook |
| Emails | /email | An email thread from Inbox |
| Events | /event | An event on your calendar |
| Brands | /brands | A brand from Collaborations |
| Brand deals | /pipeline | A deal from the Collaborations pipeline |
| Contacts | /contacts | A person at one of your brands |
| Agents | /agents | One of your Collaborations agents, by name |
/deals is the product catalog. Brand CRM deals use /pipeline.
Under Options:
- Urgent — Goes to the top of the queue. If you leave it off, the request uses the workspace default, Normal or High, from Delegated settings
- Due date — Today, Tomorrow, Next Monday, In a week, or Pick a date…
3. Or plan it with Poppy first
Plan with Poppy (also /plan, /chat, or /poppy at the start of the message) opens a conversation before any card exists. The placeholder becomes What do you need? Poppy will plan it with you…, then Reply to Poppy….
Talk through the outcome. When the plan looks right, create the card from that conversation. A /plan draft does not take file attachments; add files on the card after it exists, or send a normal request if the files are the brief.
Planning is free. Running the steps later is not. See Run with Poppy.
4. Send
Click Send request. The card opens on the board in Submitted. The status line updates, and the person who sent it is notified as the thread moves.
If planning cannot produce a usable plan, the current plan stays and the thread records that the re-plan did not land. The team can still work the request by hand.
After you send
- Reply on the thread the same way. Customer messages on an open request can update the task list. On a Done or Cancelled request, Pointerly AI only answers: it does not rebuild the plan
- AI replies on requests (on by default) posts a short reply when the tasks change or a detail is missing. Turn it off and the tasks still update, without that reply
- While Poppy or the thread AI is working, the Thinking step is a short note in your language about what it understood. It is a summary. Links, emails, and ids are left out
