Help Center/Reports & marketplace imports
Marketplace imports
Download Amazon, eBay, or Walmart partner reports and import them into Pointerly by affiliate tag.
Import official partner sales files so Pointerly can store commissions by affiliate tag, power per-tag report dashboards, and update link-level conversions.
Outcome
A report file is parsed, matched to one or more Tracking IDs / tags, and visible on that tag’s report page—with duplicates skipped on re-import.
Before you start
- Plan feature unlocked for the store you import (Individual or higher for tag reports).
- At least one affiliate tag or willingness to create tags from IDs detected in the file.
- A report file under 10 MB:
- Amazon:
.xlsx,.csv(SPCC), or.zip - eBay / Walmart:
.csv
- Amazon:
- Team permission to import reports.
Entry points
Use any of these (same Amazon / eBay / Walmart dialogs):
- Dashboard → Affiliate Tags → Import Report (choose Amazon, eBay, or Walmart).
- Tag ⋯ → Import report (tag preselected).
- Dashboard → Settings → Reports → Import by tag for that store.
- Import on an open tag report page (when available).
Amazon import (step-by-step)
1. Download the Fee Statement from Associates
- Open Amazon Associates Central → Reports.
- Open the Fee Statement tab.
- Choose the month or period.
- Click Download Report (.xlsx) (or download the
.zipAmazon provides—Pointerly unwraps it). - Optional formats also supported: Linked-Product
.xlsx, and Sponsored Products for Creators (SPCC).csv.
2. Open Import sales report
- From Affiliate Tags or Settings → Reports, start an Amazon import.
- Expand How to download the report in the dialog if you need the in-app checklist.
- Select an Affiliate tag, or leave it empty to scan the file first.
3. Upload the file
- Drag and drop the
.xlsx,.csv, or.zip, or click to browse (max 10 MB). - Confirm the file name appears in the dropzone.
- Click Scan & Import if no tag is selected, or Import if a tag is selected.
4. Resolve Tracking IDs (when prompted)
If the file contains Tracking IDs that do not match the selected tag—or you scanned without a tag—Pointerly lists Tracking IDs in this file with row counts and period/revenue when available.
For each ID:
- Import to {existing tag} if a tag with that value already exists.
- Create tag & import if it does not.
- For Linked-Product format (no tag column): select your tag manually, then Import.
Legacy Fee-Orders sheets are filtered to rows matching the selected tag’s value. SPCC CSVs must include a matching Tracking ID column value.
5. Confirm success
- Wait for the success toast (new rows stored, or duplicates skipped).
- Open the tag ⋯ → View reports (or
/dashboard/reports/tag/…). - Confirm the import appears in the Import filter and totals look right for the period.
eBay import (summary)
- Download a Transaction or Performance CSV from eBay Partner Network.
- Open Import Report → eBay (.csv) or Settings → Reports → eBay Import by tag.
- Select the eBay affiliate tag whose Campaign ID matches the file.
- Upload the CSV and import.
- Open View reports for that tag to review earnings.
Walmart import (summary)
- Download an Action or Performance CSV from Impact.com (Walmart).
- Open Import Report → Walmart (.csv) or Settings → Reports → Walmart Import by tag.
- Select the Walmart tag whose Impact tracking IDs match the export.
- Upload and import, then open the tag report page.
After every import
- Pointerly may sync Creator Connections (Amazon) and link stats automatically in the background.
- If link detail still looks stale, run Settings → Reports → Sync link stats.
- Re-importing the same period is safe: duplicate rows are skipped.
Tips
- Tag value must equal the Tracking ID in the file—create separate tags for each ID you promote.
- Prefer importing from the tag menu when you already know the target tag; use header/Settings import + scan when the file mixes many IDs.
- Keep files under 10 MB; split periods if Amazon’s export is larger.
- Creators API on the tag ≠ commission import. Use Fee Statement / SPCC files for sales charts.
