Pipeline overview

Browse system and custom Kanban boards, drag cards across columns, collaborate with roles, and track applications, campaigns, and ops.

draft

Pipeline is Pointerly’s Kanban workspace (/dashboard/kanban). Use system boards for Creator Connect applications, brand campaigns, and operations (including routine alerts), plus custom boards for your own To do → In progress → Done workflows. Drag cards, comment in threads, assign members, and optionally import/export with Trello.

What you'll do

  • Open Dashboard → Pipeline (feature pipeline)
  • Browse Pipeline Projects, search boards, and open a board
  • Move system or custom cards across columns; open card detail / thread
  • Create a custom board with default columns when you need a private workflow

Before you start

  • Plan includes Pipeline & Kanban (often via add-ons)
  • Correct team selected (partnership seats may be read-only—follow the gate banner)
  • For system boards: campaigns / applications / routines already producing cards
  • Optional: Trello credentials if you use manual import/export

Steps

1. Open Pipeline and find a board

  1. Go to Dashboard → Pipeline (Kanban).
  2. Review Pipeline Projects: system boards and custom boards in one table.
  3. Use search to filter by board name; Refresh to reload.
  4. Click a board row to open /dashboard/kanban/boards/{id}.

2. Know the system boards

System boards mirror live product status:

BoardTypical columnsCard sources
ApplicationsPending → Approved → Rejected → WithdrawnCampaign applications
CampaignsDraft → Active → Paused → Closed → Completed → CancelledBrand campaigns
OperationsOpen → Seen → In progress → Snoozed → ResolvedRoutine alerts and ops items

Moving a system card updates the linked application/campaign/ops status when the column has a systemStatusKey. Metadata on cards can include creator info, budgets, SLA severity, and due dates.

3. Work cards on a board

  1. Drag cards between columns (respect WIP limits if a column defines one).
  2. Click a card to open detail: description (markdown/rich text), due date, assignee, links, checklist (custom cards), comments, and activity.
  3. Custom cards support type (work item, deliverable, feedback, follow-up, note), priority, labels, estimate points, and parent/child relationships.
  4. Invite board members with roles: owner, editor, viewer.
  5. Pipeline due dates also appear on the Calendar when calendar + pipeline features are on.

4. Create a custom board

  1. From Pipeline Projects, create a new custom board (Plus / New board control).
  2. Default columns: To do, In progress, Done (customize names, colors, positions, WIP).
  3. Add custom cards; link URLs (generic, Meet, Zoom, GitHub, campaign files, etc.).
  4. Optional: connect Trello board id for manual import/export workflows offered in the product.
  5. Automations can create_kanban_cards when the pipeline feature is enabled—see Automations.

Tips

  • Use Operations as the landing place for Routines alerts so ops work is drag-and-drop, not only a list.
  • Keep system boards for status truth; use custom boards for internal production checklists.
  • Set WIP limits on In progress to avoid silent overload.
  • Viewer roles are ideal for stakeholders who should not move application statuses.
  • Filter Calendar’s kanban board picker when too many due dates crowd the week.
