Calendar overview

Unify native events, routines, pipeline due dates, and Content Studio schedules—create events, filter sources, and sync meetings.

draft

The Calendar unifies native events you create in Pointerly with mirrored activity from routines, pipeline (kanban) due dates, link expirations, automation schedules, and Content Studio publications. Switch day / week / month / agenda / timeline views, filter by source, and attach Google Meet or Zoom when integrations are connected.

What you'll do

  • Open Dashboard → Calendar (feature calendar + calendar permission)
  • Navigate views, filter sources/colors, and create or edit native events
  • Open mirrored events for context (edit Content Studio / routines in their own modules)
  • Optionally attach Meet/Zoom and keep Google Calendar sync in mind when connected

Before you start

  • Plan includes Calendar (add-ons tab if prompted)
  • Your role can view Calendar
  • Optional: Pipeline, Routines, Content Studio, Google Calendar / Meet / Zoom connected for richer grids

Steps

1. Open and navigate the grid

  1. Go to Dashboard → Calendar.
  2. Use Today, previous/next, and the view switcher: Day, Week, Month, plus Agenda / Timeline.
  3. On desktop, use the left sidebar mini-calendar and filters; on mobile, open Filters.
  4. Search by title and filter by color chips when events are color-coded.

3. Create a native event

  1. Click Add event, click a slot on week/day views, or add from a mobile day sheet.
  2. In New event, set title, start, end, optional assignee, description, location, color, and reminder minutes.
  3. Optional: recurrence / RRULE-style repeats, invitee emails, attachments (Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Meet, Zoom, custom URL).
  4. If Google Meet or Zoom is connected, attach a meeting link from the create sheet.
  5. Save—the event appears as source_type: native and can be dragged/resized on supported views.

4. Inspect, edit, and sync notes

  1. Click an event to open the detail sheet.
  2. Native events: edit or delete from detail / edit sheet.
  3. Mirrored events (Content Studio, etc.): use the deep link back to the owning module—changing title here would not update the publication.
  4. Google Calendar–synced events may show Synced with Google Calendar; edits push when sync mode allows.
  5. Partnership / read-only gates may limit writes—follow the on-page notice.

Tips

  • Keep Content Studio posts scheduled in the studio; use Calendar as the single glanceable week plan.
  • Filter kanban boards when Pipeline due dates clutter the week.
  • Use Hide empty hours on week/day grids for denser working hours.
  • Automation create_calendar_event actions require the calendar feature—wire them from Automations.
  • Week starts Monday in Pointerly week/agenda ranges.
