Brand applications
Review creator applications, negotiate offers, and approve or reject with clear next steps.
Brand → Applications is the review queue for creators who applied to your campaigns. Open each application to see profile fit, match score, cover letter, proposed rate, and attached links. Negotiate offers, then approve (contract pending) or reject—with optional reason. Creators are notified in-app (and via connected Slack / lifecycle tools when configured).
What you'll do
- Open the brand applications inbox
- Filter by campaign or status
- Review creator fit and application materials
- Negotiate until an offer is accepted
- Approve or reject (approval requires an accepted offer)
Before you start
- At least one active campaign with applications
- Permission to review applications (
application.review) - Campaign not in a mutation-locked terminal state
- Optional: Slack / notification integrations for team alerts

Review rules worth knowing
- Only pending or negotiating applications can be approved or rejected.
- Approve requires an accepted offer on the application (rate + currency). Without it, review returns an error asking for an accepted offer first.
- Approval moves the application to approved (contract pending) (then toward contracted as contracts complete).
- Reject stores an optional rejection reason shown to the creator.
- Creators receive a notification with a link to their application detail.
Steps
1. Open Brand → Applications
- Go to Dashboard → Brand → Applications.
- Filter by campaign or status if the queue is large.
- Open an application (detail uses public IDs in the URL when available).
You can also enter from a campaign detail page’s applicants list.

2. Evaluate the creator
- Review match score / reasons, profile link, platforms, and categories.
- Read the cover letter and proposed rate.
- Open deliverable / support links the creator attached.
- Check campaign slot availability before approving.

3. Negotiate, then approve or reject
- Start or continue negotiation with rate offers until one is accepted.
- To approve: confirm an accepted offer exists, then approve (status → approved / contract pending).
- To reject: choose reject and optionally enter a reason.
- Confirm the applications list and campaign metrics update (applications count / slots).
- Continue with contract workflows when the product prompts for contracted creators.

Tips
- Reject with a short reason—creators use it to improve future pitches.
- Do not approve before offer acceptance; the action is blocked by design.
- Keep campaign slots realistic; approvals fill slots and can stop new applies.
- Export applications from Settings → Export Data when you need a CSV/JSON backup.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to try |
|---|---|---|
| Cannot approve | No accepted offer | Complete offer acceptance first |
| Cannot review | Missing permission or locked campaign | Ask for review access; check campaign status |
| Empty inbox | No applies yet | Publish an active campaign; share public campaign URL |
| Creator not notified | Notification failure | Check creator still has a profile; retry is usually automatic on next events |
| Wrong team’s apps | Wrong workspace | Switch brand team and reopen Applications |
