Plans and upgrades
Compare Free, Individual, Team, and Enterprise on the Plans tab and change tiers safely in Stripe Checkout.
Change your workspace plan from Dashboard → Billing → Plans. Compare Free, Individual, Team, and Enterprise, pick monthly or yearly, then complete Stripe Checkout. Pointerly verifies the session when you return so entitlements update immediately.
What you'll achieve
- Open the Plans tab and confirm your current plan + billing interval
- Use the sizing helper and plan grid to choose the right tier
- Start Checkout for an upgrade (or follow Enterprise proposal / counteroffer flows)
- Cancel at period end (or resume) from Overview when you pay for the plan yourself
- Confirm activation on return (
Subscription activated successfully!)
Before you start
- Correct team selected (each owned team has its own subscription)
- Billing → view (and ability to manage billing for paid changes)
- Know whether you need more seats, links, clicks, or feature unlocks—sometimes an add-on or credit pack is cheaper than jumping a full tier
- Enterprise: have a sales proposal / token if you were sent a custom offer
- Sponsored workspaces cannot self-upgrade the paid tier—the brand sponsor manages that under Sponsored workspaces
Free vs Individual (what’s included)
Published limits from the plan catalog (creator/brand feature bullets on the Cards may be scoped by workspace type):
| Capability | Free | Individual |
|---|---|---|
| List price | $0 | $24/mo (or $19/mo equivalent when billed yearly) |
| Links | 50 | 500 |
| Clicks included / month | 2,500 (redirects never blocked) | 25,000 (redirects never blocked) |
| Dynamic QR codes | 0 included | 10 |
| AI generations / day | 5 | 50 |
| DM sends / month | 1,000 | 25,000 |
| Content Studio publications / month | 0 (module visible; publish is PAYG / paid path) | 60 |
| Team members | 1 | 3 |
| Affiliate tags | 1 | 3 |
| Bio pages | 1 | 1 |
| Custom domains | 0 | 3 |
| Analytics retention | 30 days | 365 days |
| Saved deals | 25 | 500 |
| Comparison products | 0 | 2 |
| Active brand campaigns / creator applications | 1 each | Unlimited |
| Inbox mailboxes | 0 (blocked) | 1 (+ Extra mailbox add-on) |
| Automations / custom routines | 1 active automation; custom routines 0 | 3 active automations + 3 custom routines; 1,000 runs/mo each |
| WhatsApp / Telegram | Not in plan — buy Messaging channel add-ons | Same — addon-only on every plan |
Team (list $104/mo) raises seats/links/clicks further (for example 10 members, 3,000 links, 100,000 clicks/month). Enterprise is Contact Sales / custom proposal (often treated as unlimited on many meters).
WhatsApp and Telegram quotas are never part of Free/Individual/Team base limits—they come from the Messaging channels add-ons.
Steps
1. Open the Plans tab
- Go to Dashboard → Billing.
- Select Plans.
- Note Right-size your plan above the grid—it projects usage and may recommend plan + add-ons vs on-demand.
- Confirm which card shows as Current Plan for both tier and month/year interval (a monthly subscriber still sees yearly prices on the yearly toggle—don’t mistake that for your current price).
2. Compare tiers
| Plan | Best for | How you buy |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Exploring the platform | Default starting tier |
| Individual | Growing creators and brands | Checkout / trial CTA |
| Team | Teams needing more seats and volume | Checkout / trial CTA |
| Enterprise | Companies and agencies | Contact Sales or accept a custom proposal |
- Toggle monthly vs yearly on the plan grid when available.
- Read feature bullets scoped to your workspace type (creator vs brand)—some rows only apply to one scope.
- Prefer upgrading when you need bundled features/limits; prefer add-ons when you only need one meter (clicks, links, AI, DM).
3. Upgrade or change plan
- On the target plan card, choose the CTA (upgrade / start trial / switch).
- Complete Stripe Checkout (payment method, tax details as prompted).
- You return to Billing with
?success=true&session_id=…. Wait for Subscription activated successfully! and Overview cards to refresh. - If you cancel Checkout, you’ll see Checkout canceled—your previous plan stays active.
Interval switches and downgrades use the same Plans flow where offered; Free is not a Checkout target (you cancel paid to return to Free—see below).
4. Cancel subscription (return to Free at period end)
- On Overview, open Cancel Subscription on the subscription card (only when you pay—not shown for sponsored plans; complimentary grants use different copy).
- Review the downgrade impact preview (members, links, tags, bio pages, campaigns that would freeze).
- Confirm. Toast: subscription cancels at period end; status shows Canceling with access until the end date.
- Use Resume Subscription before period end to keep the paid plan.
After period end the team moves to Free. Over-limit resources are frozen (FIFO)—not auto-deleted.
Payment methods and tax IDs: Manage Billing → Stripe Customer Portal.
5. Enterprise proposals (when applicable)
If Sales sent a proposal link (?enterprise=proposal or a proposal token):
- Open Plans—you may see an Enterprise proposal review alert.
- If the proposal belongs to another workspace, click Link proposal to this workspace.
- Review monthly/yearly custom amounts on the Enterprise card.
- Accept an interval to start Enterprise Checkout, or Request proposal changes to send a counteroffer (status moves to Negotiating).
Enterprise isn’t self-serve priced like Individual/Team—use Contact Sales when you don’t have an offer yet.
Tips
- Seat limits block invites with an upgrade modal—upgrade Team/Enterprise (or buy seat capacity) before mass-inviting. See Invite members.
- Annual billing usually lowers the monthly equivalent; the upcoming invoice card on Overview shows discounts when applied.
- Sponsorship of another creator’s paid plan is under Sponsored workspaces, not the main plan grid.
- After activation, re-check Plan limits on Overview—frozen items should unfreeze when you’re back under cap.
Common questions
What’s included in Free vs Individual?
See the comparison table above. Biggest Individual jumps: 50→500 links, 2.5k→25k clicks, 5→50 AI/day, 1k→25k DMs, custom domains, advanced analytics, inbox mailbox, Content Studio included publications, more seats/tags.
Do I need Individual for WhatsApp or Telegram?
No. Both are add-ons on every plan (including Free). Buy under Billing → Add-ons → Messaging channels.
Upgrade vs buy add-ons?
Upgrade when you need many features/limits at once. Buy packs/add-ons when one meter is short (extra links, DM credits, AI, WhatsApp).
How do I cancel?
Overview → Cancel Subscription → confirm. Access continues until period end, then Free with freezes—not deletions. Resume anytime before then.
Can I cancel if my plan is sponsored?
The brand sponsor stops sponsorship from Sponsored workspaces. Creators see sponsored messaging and don’t get the normal paid cancel controls for that plan.
What is a complimentary plan?
Staff/admin grant of a paid tier for a period. Overview may show complimentary access and optional auto-bill notes. Not the same as brand sponsorship.
Trial?
Individual/Team support trial days from the plan config. During trial, status is trialing; convert by keeping a payment method.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to try |
|---|---|---|
| CTA fails / portal error | No permission or Stripe customer issue | Confirm billing access; retry; contact support with team ID |
| Still on Free after paying | Verify lag or canceled return | Confirm URL has success + session_id; refresh; use Sync from Stripe on Invoices |
| Wrong plan marked current | Interval mismatch | Toggle month/year; look for current badge on the matching interval |
| Enterprise card locked | Proposal not linked to this team | Use Link proposal to this workspace or ask Sales to attach the account |
| Need capacity only | Full upgrade unnecessary | Buy packs/add-ons under Add-ons and credits |
| No Cancel button | Sponsored / complimentary | Check sponsor banner or complimentary label; brand/admin manages that access |
