Auto-post Telegram deals

Enable channel auto-post, set frequency, and filter which deals Pointerly publishes to Telegram.

draft

Turn on auto-post so Pointerly publishes matching deals to a connected channel on a schedule, using your deal filters and optional template.

What you'll achieve

  • Enable auto-post on a channel card
  • Choose hourly / twice daily / daily / weekly frequency
  • Configure deal filters (discount, categories, stores, posts per slot)
  • Confirm posts appear as auto-posted in history

Before you start

  • Channel already connected and test post succeeds
  • telegram → edit permission
  • Active deals in the workspace that match the stores you promote
  • Remaining Telegram post allowance (each auto post meters like a manual post)
  • Optional: a default deal template (otherwise a built-in layout is used)

Steps

1. Enable auto-post on the channel

  1. Go to Dashboard → Telegram.
  2. Find the channel card.
  3. Toggle auto (Zap switch in the stats row).
  4. Confirm toast: Auto-posting enabled.

When enabled, the card expands with Frequency and deal filter controls.

2. Set posting frequency

  1. Open the Frequency select.
  2. Choose one of:
    • Every hour
    • Twice daily
    • Once daily
    • Weekly
  3. Wait for Posting frequency updated.

Schedules also carry timezone and max posts per day in channel settings; start with daily or twice daily until you trust filters.

3. Configure deal filters

  1. Click the deal filters button (label summarizes current filters).
  2. In the deal settings dialog, set:
    • Minimum discount %
    • Categories (from the deals taxonomy — not free text)
    • Deal types
    • Max price (optional)
    • Store types (empty = all stores you have deals for)
    • Template (optional — falls back to team default deal template, then built-in)
    • Posts per slot (each deal is a separate metered post)
  3. Save and confirm Deal filters saved.

4. Verify auto posts

  1. Wait for the next schedule slot (or temporarily use a higher frequency while testing).
  2. Open the posts history — auto-posted rows are flagged separately from manual posts.
  3. Click through from Telegram to confirm Pointerly links track clicks on the channel card.
  4. If nothing fires, loosen filters (especially min discount and store list) and check Usage.

Tips

  • Start with posts per slot = 1 to avoid burning allowance on noisy deal firehoses.
  • Pair auto-post with a clear template that always includes the short link placeholder.
  • Disable auto-post before disconnecting a channel if you do not want queued work mid-flight.
