Integrations overview
Browse the provider marketplace, connect OAuth apps, configure setup-only providers, and manage Meta-linked accounts.
The Integrations marketplace is where you connect third-party providers to your Pointerly team—social platforms, commerce, email/CRM, Notion/Google connectors, and more. Each card shows status (Connected, Via Meta, plan lock, add-on, Soon, or audience lock) and the next action: Connect, Configure, View setup, Add add-on, or Upgrade.
What you'll do
- Open the marketplace and find a provider by category
- Connect with OAuth (or open setup for non-OAuth providers like Shopify)
- Configure a connected app or disconnect cleanly
- Understand Meta-managed Instagram/Facebook vs direct connections
Before you start
- Correct team selected (connections are team-scoped)
- Role allowed to manage integrations
- Plan (or add-on) that includes the provider you need
- For social DM features: a Business/Creator Instagram or Facebook Page you control
Concepts
| Concept | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Provider card | Marketplace tile with icon, description, category, and primary CTA |

| Via Meta | Instagram/Facebook managed under the Meta integration—open Manage in Meta |
| Plan / add-on lock | Provider requires a higher plan or a billable add-on feature key |
| Audience lock | Provider limited to creator or brand team types |
| Coming soon | Listed but not enabled for connect yet |
| Managed connectors | Optional path for Google/Notion-style connectors when enabled for the workspace |
Browse and connect
- Go to Dashboard → Integrations.
- Scan categories (social, commerce, productivity, etc.) or open View details on a card.
- When the card shows Connect:
- Click Connect (Shopify routes to
/dashboard/integrations/shopify#configurationinstead). - Complete the provider’s OAuth consent screen.
- Return to Integrations; the card should show Connected.
- Click Connect (Shopify routes to
- For non-OAuth providers, use View setup and follow the configuration page.
- For Instagram/Facebook already linked through Meta, use Manage in Meta / Via Meta.
Configure and disconnect
- On a Connected card, click Configure to open provider settings.
- To disconnect, click the unplug control, confirm Disconnect [Provider]? in the dialog, then confirm.
- You can reconnect later with the same Connect flow.
OAuth return URLs may include success or error query params; the Connect spinner clears when you come back or when the tab becomes visible again.
Social platforms (for DM Automations)
Supported OAuth platforms include Instagram (direct or Business/Meta), TikTok, YouTube, Twitter/X, Facebook (personal or Page), and Threads. For comment/DM automations you typically need:
- Instagram Business or Creator (or Meta combined login)
- and/or Facebook Pages for Page comments / Messenger
After connecting, continue in DM Automations.
Tips
- Connect with the Facebook account that owns the Page, not necessarily your Pointerly login email.
- Prefer add-on checkout when the card offers Add · $… instead of a full plan jump—if that matches what you need.
- Shopify always uses its configuration page rather than a generic OAuth popup from the grid.
- Keep one Meta connection tidy: manage IG/FB children from Integrations → Meta when badges say Via Meta.
Troubleshooting
Common OAuth and reconnect fixes live in Integrations troubleshooting.
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to try |
|---|---|---|
| Upgrade to … on the card | Plan below minPlan | Billing → upgrade, or buy the add-on if offered |
| Audience badge, Connect disabled | Wrong team type | Use a creator or brand workspace as required |
| Stuck on Connecting… | Closed provider window | Return to Integrations; wait for visibility reset or refresh |
| Connected but DM does not fire | Wrong IG/FB variant or missing Page | Reconnect Business/Page variant; verify under Meta |
