Zoom Integration Guide

Overview

Create Zoom meetings from Pointerly workflows and keep links attached to events, cards, and deliverables.

Adding the app (required)

  1. Sign in to Pointerly.
  2. Open Dashboard > Integrations.
  3. Open Zoom.
  4. Click Connect.
  5. Complete provider authorization and grant requested permissions.
  6. Return to Pointerly and confirm status is Connected.

Usage (required)

Create Zoom meeting from Calendar

Use case: Schedule campaign calls and keep join links attached to events.

Prerequisites:

  • Zoom connected
  • Scope: meeting:write:meeting
  1. Open Dashboard > Calendar.
  2. Click Add event.
  3. In Attachments, choose Add meeting > Zoom.
  4. Save event.

Use Zoom links in Pipeline/Kanban

Use case: Keep meeting links in the same card where execution work is tracked.

Prerequisites:

  • Zoom connected
  1. Open Dashboard > Pipeline.
  2. Open a card detail panel.
  3. Add Zoom meeting in attachments.
  4. Save card changes.

Optional: list/sync or edit/cancel meetings

Use case: Use advanced meeting management directly inside Pointerly.

Prerequisites:

  • For meeting list/sync: meeting:read:meeting + meeting:read:list_meetings
  • For edit/cancel: meeting:update:meeting + meeting:delete:meeting
  1. Open Dashboard > Integrations > Zoom.
  2. Enable optional feature in configuration.
  3. Reconnect Zoom when prompted for additional scopes.

Removing the app (required)

Disconnect from Pointerly

  1. Open Dashboard > Integrations > Zoom.
  2. Click Disconnect.

Remove from provider account

  1. Open Zoom connected apps/integrations settings.
  2. Remove or revoke Pointerly app access.

Deauthorization implications

  • Integration state is set to disconnected in Pointerly.
  • Stored OAuth token fields are cleared.
  • Provider API actions are blocked until reconnect.

Troubleshooting

OAuth connect fails

  • Retry connection from Dashboard > Integrations.
  • Confirm you are authorizing the intended provider account.
  • Verify team has required plan/add-on entitlement for this provider.

Permission or scope errors

  • Reconnect the integration and approve requested scopes.
  • Check provider settings to ensure required account-level permissions are granted.
