Overview

Upload videos and Shorts from Content Studio and pull channel metrics for the earnings index.

Adding the app (required)

  1. Sign in to Pointerly.
  2. Open Dashboard > Integrations.
  3. Open YouTube.
  4. Click Connect.
  5. Complete provider authorization and grant requested permissions.
  6. Return to Pointerly and confirm status is Connected.

Usage (required)

Connect YouTube account context

Use case: Use social identity and page/account context in campaign operations.

Prerequisites:

  • YouTube connected
  • Team has required integration entitlement
  1. Open Dashboard > Integrations.
  2. Open YouTube settings and verify connected account details.
  3. Save account or page selections if prompted.

Enable social workflows

Use case: Power comment, DM, and profile-driven automation workflows.

Prerequisites:

  • Connected account has required permissions
  1. Open social automation/workflow settings.
  2. Map triggers and response behavior.
  3. Activate and monitor operational events.

Removing the app (required)

Disconnect from Pointerly

  1. Open Dashboard > Integrations > YouTube.
  2. Click Disconnect.

Remove from provider account

  1. Open YouTube connected apps/integrations settings.
  2. Remove or revoke Pointerly app access.

Deauthorization implications

  • Integration state is set to disconnected in Pointerly.
  • Stored OAuth token fields are cleared.
  • Provider API actions are blocked until reconnect.

Troubleshooting

OAuth connect fails

  • Retry connection from Dashboard > Integrations.
  • Confirm you are authorizing the intended provider account.
  • Verify team has required plan/add-on entitlement for this provider.

Permission or scope errors

  • Reconnect the integration and approve requested scopes.
  • Check provider settings to ensure required account-level permissions are granted.
