Trello Integration Guide

Overview

Sync campaign pipelines, applications, and workflow as Trello boards for visual workflow management.

Adding the app (required)

  1. Sign in to Pointerly.
  2. Open Dashboard > Integrations.
  3. Open Trello.
  4. Click Connect.
  5. Complete provider authorization and grant requested permissions.
  6. Return to Pointerly and confirm status is Connected.

Usage (required)

Configure Trello workspace destination

Use case: Map project/spreadsheet/calendar contexts for consistent operations.

Prerequisites:

  • Trello connected
  • Team admin access
  1. Open provider settings in Dashboard > Integrations.
  2. Select target workspace/base/board/calendar settings.
  3. Save configuration.

Run operational sync

Use case: Push and/or pull operational data between Pointerly and the connected tool.

Prerequisites:

  • Sync strategy configured where supported
  1. Choose sync mode or export action.
  2. Run sync and validate key records.
  3. Enable auto-sync if your workflow requires it.

Removing the app (required)

Disconnect from Pointerly

  1. Open Dashboard > Integrations > Trello.
  2. Click Disconnect.

Remove from provider account

  1. Open Trello connected apps/integrations settings.
  2. Remove or revoke Pointerly app access.

Deauthorization implications

  • Integration state is set to disconnected in Pointerly.
  • Stored OAuth token fields are cleared.
  • Provider API actions are blocked until reconnect.

Troubleshooting

OAuth connect fails

  • Retry connection from Dashboard > Integrations.
  • Confirm you are authorizing the intended provider account.
  • Verify team has required plan/add-on entitlement for this provider.

Permission or scope errors

  • Reconnect the integration and approve requested scopes.
  • Check provider settings to ensure required account-level permissions are granted.
