Google Calendar Integration Guide

Overview
Sync events bidirectionally between Pointerly and Google Calendar with configurable strategy, reminders, and calendar selection.
Adding the app (required)
- Sign in to Pointerly.
- Open Dashboard > Integrations.
- Open Google Calendar.
- Click Connect.
- Complete provider authorization and grant requested permissions.
- Return to Pointerly and confirm status is Connected.

Usage (required)
Configure sync strategy
Use case: Control whether Pointerly pushes, pulls, or syncs both ways.
Prerequisites:
- Google Calendar connected
- Open Dashboard > Integrations > Google Calendar.
- Enable sync and select strategy (push, pull, bidirectional).
- Choose target Google calendar from picker.
Run full sync window
Use case: Backfill and reconcile event data across past/future ranges.
Prerequisites:
- Sync enabled
- Full sync window configured
- Enable full sync on open.
- Set past/future days according to your operational horizon.
- Open calendar view and validate inbound/outbound event sync.
Removing the app (required)
Disconnect from Pointerly
- Open Dashboard > Integrations > Google Calendar.
- Click Disconnect.
Remove from provider account
- Open Google Calendar connected apps/integrations settings.
- Remove or revoke Pointerly app access.
Deauthorization implications
- Integration state is set to disconnected in Pointerly.
- Stored OAuth token fields are cleared.
- Provider API actions are blocked until reconnect.
Troubleshooting
OAuth connect fails
- Retry connection from Dashboard > Integrations.
- Confirm you are authorizing the intended provider account.
- Verify team has required plan/add-on entitlement for this provider.
Permission or scope errors
- Reconnect the integration and approve requested scopes.
- Check provider settings to ensure required account-level permissions are granted.
