Overview

Telegram in Pointerly is a first-party posting channel. You connect one or more channels, set per-channel deal filters and a posting cadence, and Pointerly posts matching deals with your affiliate tag already on every link. One Bot API call covers the whole channel, regardless of size.

Getting started

  1. Sign in to Pointerly.
  2. Open Dashboard > Telegram.
  3. Add the Telegram Bot add-on if it is not already on your team.
  4. Add the bot as an admin of your channel and complete verification.
  5. Confirm the channel shows as Connected before enabling auto-post.

Usage

Auto-post deals on a schedule

Use case: Keep a channel posting without manual copy-paste.

Prerequisites:

  • Telegram channel connected
  • Affiliate tag configured
  1. Open Dashboard > Telegram.
  2. Open the channel settings.
  3. Set category, discount, price, and marketplace filters.
  4. Choose a posting schedule and save.

Post a specific deal now

Use case: Push one deal to a channel immediately.

Prerequisites:

  • Telegram channel connected
  1. Open a deal from Dashboard > Deals (or the Telegram board).
  2. Choose Post to Telegram and select the channel.
  3. Confirm the affiliate tag and send.

Disconnecting

  1. Open Dashboard > Telegram.
  2. Disconnect the channel (or remove the bot as admin in Telegram).
  3. Optionally cancel the Telegram Bot add-on from billing if you no longer need it.

Troubleshooting

Posts are not going out

  • Confirm the bot is still an admin of the channel with post permission.
  • Check that filters are not excluding every deal in the feed.
  • Verify you still have monthly post quota on the add-on.

Wrong affiliate tag on posts

  • Open the channel settings and confirm the selected affiliate tag.
  • Save and wait for the next scheduled post (or post a test deal).
